August 2023

This is unusual for me to accumulate pictures for a month and only do one blog to cover a months activities. I got way behind and this is an easy way to catch up. This is not my preferred style but it will have to do.

Yard Work

We finally got around to having the landscaping by wind cleared down in the lower yard. Then we got some more trees planted.

The Koi Pond was cleaned up and new plantings were added to it. A duck seems to have wandered in fairly regularly.

When Wink was feeding the fish, she noticed some hummingbird moths. Meg grabbed the camera and got some pictures.

Fun with Food

We had guests visiting from Japan and we took them out to show off the Foodie Paradise that is Newmarket.

Kayak Adventuring

We even managed to get out on the Kayaks. We paddled up the Lamprey river to the rapids just below Wadleigh Falls. We were not able to navigate the rapids, but we did try. We also got out a couple of times to fish.

I guess all I can say is that August got by me. It was full of adventuring and having guests visit.

We are planning to have a quiet Labor Day Weekend.

  1. What a treat the video was to see!! That was a very large tree you had planted. When do the ladies leave for their great meander? Happy labor day! Where were you 22 years ago?!!
