Late May 2023

It is June already and as usual, I am behind in my blogging. The weather has been spotty, alternating between very hot and cool drizzle. We haven’t managed to keep up with the yard work, so that is an ongoing struggle. However we did manage to squeeze in a few enjoyable activities.

New Hampshire Ren Faire 2023 Spring

There is a REN Faire held on the weekends nearby us. It is held spring and fall, so we decided to check it out. Each day is themed and we went on the Dungeons and Dragons themed day. The faire was slammed the day we were there. There were long lines to get in and an hour wait to get faire food.

Intrepid Explorer

There were trolls and dragons to watch out for. Fortunately there were also knights and heroes to protect the innocent.

There were also troubadours and minstrels around.

There were a range of attendees.

There were also knights and chargers…

There were also games to participate in.

Faire Food

It was hot, it was crowded and there were long lines for everything. There were wonderful costumes and people were enjoying themselves. The faire was geared toward the children and there were many opportunities for the kids to participate. The music venues and music were not a priority at this faire. The food was Faire food.

On the whole, I am glad I went.

BOIDS

Eagle on Point

The crows have been coming to the feeder routinely. A few are even bold enough to try to eat the Oriole food on the deck.

Raptor Rescue

We had a Moody Point raptor presentation at the Boat House.

Striper Pate for BYOB

The pate was made from one of the stripers we caught last August. This was our last fillet.

Summer 2023 Quest – Best Lobster Roll in Great Bay

We are embarking on a GREAT QUEST this summer. The desired result is to find the ‘BEST’ lobster roll in the area. Each experience will be rated in four categories: Taste, Presentation, Cost and Ambiance. This quest is likely to take all summer. We initiated the QUEST at the Hungry Lobster in Rye.

For the non seafood eaters, they had some wicked sandwiches.

The highlight were the specialty pastries.

Kayak Adventure 2023-02

Took a few pictures. Fishing was improved over the last time out.

It was a busy May and looks to be an even busier summer.
