Leaf Peeping 2022

Kate-Lynne wanted to see Fall in all it’s glory, so we decided to make a road trip to the White Mountains during peak color. We watched the fall color map and weather and made a decision about when to go. Instead of making arrangements for Benji, we decided to bring him along with us. We drove up Rte. 16 to Conway and then took the Kancamagus Highway to Lincoln. From there w took 93 to Franconia Notch and the Mittersill Resort, where we spent the night at Wink’s family’s chalet. For dinner, we took Benji to a dog friendly Brew Pub called Rek.Lis in Bethlehem. We got a table but Benji didn’t react well to all the dogs and needed to be taken back to the car. The next morning we headed to Polly’s Pancakes in Sugar Hill , Littleton for some shopping .and then home to Newmarket. We seemed to have picked the best time to see peak foliage. The scenery was gorgeous. Thursday was sunny and Friday was partly cloudy. I guess we just got lucky.

Wink was driving with Kate-Lynne riding shotgun, manning the cameras.

Heading to Franconia

It was Benji’s first road trip. It was an experiment to bring Benji and none of us slept well that night but we might be willing to try again.
