The most notable thing about early January 2022 was the weather, first there was freezing rain and before we could fully clean up from it we got seven plus inches of light snow. One interesting thing about the ice storm is that the ice melt from the roof created an interesting ice sculpture, you can almost see a bird.
The holidays season is past and the Grinch departed for his winter quarters. Elsa brought in the winter weather with her.

You can tell why they were named Red Tailed Hawks.
I finally observed why they sit it a particular tree. The tree is situated right over a water feature in the yard so they can swoop down and grab a quick lunch.
We have been seeing them quite regularly.
We occasionally see the eagles as well.

We had trouble finding puff pastry sheets for our Beef Wellington on New Years Day. I came home with Puff Pastry Shells and had to go back out and find sheets. So we had the shells and decided to make Puff Pastry Chicken Pot Pie.
