November 2021

We ordered new kayaks last spring with an expected delivery date of June 15, 2021. I ordered two and Meg ordered one from a different vendor. She expected to pick up her kayak at the end of July. Both orders made it to the vendors the middle of November. Andrew and I went to pick them up the week before Thanksgiving.

These are sit on top, pedal kayaks that we plan to use for fishing and touring. We hope that with our hands free we will have an easier time taking pictures.

Thanksgiving was supposed to warm up to fifty plus degrees and we were anxious to try out the new kayaks. We planned to take them to the boat launch near Meg’s house. So we were getting set up to use the kayaks and Andrew and Meg stopped by the boat launch to check things out. The boat launch was iced in. Even so we debated whether to try a different boat launch or wait for spring. Waiting for spring won out.

BOIDS

We have been over run by squirrels, so we have only one feeder on the deck, a squirrel proof one. So I haven’t been getting pictures of the songbirds. However the turkeys are still around and providing entertainment. The turkeys have started eating the crow food and this is a new behavior for them. As a result we aren’t seeing as much of the crows as we used to.

The hawks still come around occasionally.

Mammals

We have at least six squirrels camping our yard. The squirrels seem to really like our pumpkins.

The squirrels aren’t the only ones that like the pumpkins.

Fun with Food

We had a fancy breakfast for Thanksgiving.

For Thanksgiving Dinner Meg made BiBimBab. We went to Hmart in Burlington MA. for some of the ingredients. It is a Korean grocery store.

It seems pretty busy. I cant believe it is already December. We designed our Xmas card and sent an order to the printer. We should get them this week. So with any luck they will be delivered before Xmas.

Not much other news.
