Mid July 2020

It has been another eventful week since I last posted. I didn’t camp the bird bath this week, but I managed to get some wild life photos. There is also the fun with food and dog pictures. So on with the story.

We are also finally seeing baby turkeys coming to the feeders, unfortunately these hatched a few weeks ago and they are already pretty big. There are three hens and at least eight chicks. They are fun to watch.

We have a suet feeder on the deck that we bring in every night. It is nominally for the woodpeckers, but the blackbirds can manage it just not as easily as the woodpeckers. The blackbirds fly up and grab some suet and eat it on the railing. The woodpeckers just hang onto the feeder.

Fun with Food

It is disappointing to still be in self isolation. This pandemic does wear one down. One avenue that brings me pleasure is being creative in the kitchen.

Quesadillas

The nice thing about this meal is what you can do with the leftovers. 🙂

Delicious

(The everything burger has hamburger, minced onions, spinach, red pepper, bacon and shredded cheddar cheese. There is an egg to bind it. Season with Montreal Steak Seasoning and Worcestershire or Hot Sauce to taste.)

Just Because

Fun with Benji

It is a blessing to have a puppy in the house. He is always happy and playful. And no, you don’t get any privacy with a dog in the house.

If one has to be self isolated due to the COVID pandemic, this is a pretty nice placed to be shut in.

  1. This was a GREAT collection!!! Is there only one Tom? He’s quite handsome. Benji is such a good boy and he’s got a lot of work keeping you four Moeller’s in line. The breakfast sandwiches look awesome. We love you guys.

  2. Love the humor in your pics – squirrel & chipmunk at the bird bath; “your” squirrels are clearly very well fed; Benjii has a pretty face & also looks like a bit of a clown; couldn’t tell the osprey from the eagles at least from the distance; and we can all use a blue bird of happiness.
