Mo Snew

We had a dribble of snow and then a winter weather event that is still ongoing. We got multiple (maybe 6+) inches of snow, followed by freezing rain followed by three inches of snow. All of this was accompanied by a wind storm with high sustained winds and gusts above 60 mph. We lost power twice, once to an animal and once during the wind.

The deer have been hungry. They have stripped our butterfly bushes in our pond garden and are reduced to eating whatever pine branches they can reach. One doe sampled the suet feeder. In the morning it was gone. We switched it out for a hot suet (spicey).

The squirrels have braved the weather and are appearing at our bird feeders.

The driveway is slick with ice and we have a fair dinkum of snow.

Snow

There is ice to.

Ice

We are mostly staying inside and warm.

We are also keeping away the cold by keeping our calorie count up.

Winter is winding down but this year we are having a real winter.

Stay safe and warm,

Mark, Wink and Meg
