Mistakes I have made
In thought and word, I’m sorry
Spring breeze, fresh start.
My blogs have been getting stale and I found a new toy to play with. I have high hopes for freshening the blog a little. I apologize for the previous blog being so verbose. I was using an AI (Chatgpt) to generate the text for the blog. My contribution was the prompts for the AI. None of the text was self generated. I could have been clearer on what I was doing. It seems I really don’t have a soft side and the joke was on me.
Weather
The weather has been the story for the first week of February. It has been dangerously cold and New Hampshire has set some weather records. Here it got down to -15 degrees F with a wind chill below -30. New Hampshire set a record for -110 F on Mt Washington. There were twenty mile per hour winds and frostbite could occur in as few as five minutes. We only went outside when necessary and only walked the dog in the lee of the house, back and forth and back again until he performed. Fortunately we didn’t lose power so we were able to stay warm.
The bay froze and so did Mark’s Folly.
BOIDS
The boids were all puffed up trying to stay warm. The feeders are on the South side of the house and the wind was from the North, so they were sheltered. We double fed the birds during the cold snap. Mark was trapped inside and bored, so he put out extra food and took 174 pictures of birds. Now Mark and Meg have a contest to see who can get a better picture of the birds with the goal of being able to count the tines on the birds feathers.
The pictures were clear enuf to get a birds eye view of the house?

Thanks for reading,
farewell Nature calls me now.

Amazing bird shots! I hope Baya and Benji are getting along now so life can get back to normal. Crazy times with this weather so weird. Hope to see you at this week’s BYO at our house! Bring ones because Ron will have his Super Bowl pool ready to go!
The bird shots are always wonderful, ditto pups and, of course, family. I’d rather not have anything A1 generated though – thought it was uncharateristic and odd – as your usual comments are pretty good, straightforward and appreciated. You’ve got it all over A1 generated communication.
Well done with the tines!!
Great bird photos!
Thanks, Paul and Susan
