January is birthday month for us. Andrew, Meg and Benji all have a birthday within a week of each other. Of course we celebrated the birthdays.
We had a spot of winter weather with mostly heavy wet snow. The trees are weighed down because it was cold enough for the snow to stick to the trees and power lines. It is pretty but we have a winter weather advisory for tonight where we will get more rain, snow, and wind. That is likely a bad combination. The storm resulted in some impressive tides.
BOIDS
We continue to enjoy the bird channel.
The crows are quite regular and when we don’t meet their expectations, they hang out and complain. I gave them a chunk of leftover suet and they really liked that.
Mammals
The deer are still cleaning up the bird feeder area. It seemed like last night they found the suet. I guess we will need to spend more and get the spicy suet.
Fun with Food
Baya and Benji et al
We are starting to gather the pictures for the next blog, but somehow I am mostly caught up. We will see what tonight’s storm will bring.
Mark, Wink and Meg
Really nice pictures of the birds & their colors, especially blue birds & cardinals.
Thanks
You people are definitely “for the birds…”
