Cookie Birds III

I am having trouble conveying how very ruff it is to self isolate in NewMahket, where “nuttin evah happens” and there is “nuttin to do.” I didn’t intend for the Cookie Bird post to become a series, It sorta just happened that way. So I’ve taken three hundred more pictures and decided to spam you with a few,

Peek-a-boo

I finally got a picture of our ruby throated hummingbird.

Wink was surprised by a rose breasted grosbeak on the feeder. She let me know in time to get a few pictures.

The mammals have been active as well. We’ve seen a recovery in the squirrel population. We have also seen a fox around.

Deer (young bucks?)

It is quite distracting to have all this going on outside. You can see why it is so ruff getting through the days of self isolation.

What fun! Even us retired folks are rekindling old hobbies or developing new ones during this shelter in place situation. As an avid birder still, I surely enjoyed your photos with identifying captions! And the Florida squirrels are not the same as the northern “brand”. Florida deer are small, not our white-tails from northern climes either. So I am sure loving getting to know the Florida flora and fauna. Miss the many perching birds I knew so well on the golf course! Miss you too.
