Cookie Birds II

Would you like a little whine with that? NewMahket, where “nuttin evah happens” and there is “nuttin to do.”

The Baltimore OREOs caught up to the Orchard OREOs and the catbirds came along shortly after. There are hummingbirds around but I still haven’t managed to get a picture of one. The bird channel has been spectacular. Spring is in the air.

Baltimore Oriole Male

The Baltimore Orioles like the same flowering bush as the Orchard Orioles.

The lady Orioles have been busy as well.

Female Oriole (Orchard?)

The Orchard Orioles are also still around.

The orioles arrived back just as our fruit trees are starting to blossom. So there is still plenty of habitat for our seasonal visitors.

The turkeys are still lurking in the yard.

Turkeys

We have two males and two females hanging around. The males seem a little worse for wear. One of the males fans keeps getting nibbled off. So he isn’t winning all his confrontations.

Disappearing Fan

The other male is in slightly worse shape as he has a limp. So life can be ruff in the Moeller yard.

The usual suspects hang around the bird feeders….

We are sheltering in place. Meg was missing Korean food and so she made some. It was delicious.

Then Meg made some Japchae as part of our weekly Mini BYOB.

The weather was a little crazy due to the Polar Vortex. We got snow blowing sideways in May.

So you can easily see that it is ruff being Mark trapped in NewMahket where there is “nuttin to do” and “nuttin evah happens.”
