‘NewMahket, where nuttin evah happens’ and there is ‘nuttin to do!’
Let’s face it, it is ruff being Mark. I am cooped up in the house all day long and just spend my time staring out the windows. We have optics in every room and I have a long lens camera for upstairs and one for downstairs so I can document ‘nuttin evah happening.’
Spring has really sprung. The goldfinches are turning more golden every day and the migratory birds are returning. We’ve started seeing herons on the bay. Won’t be long until the herons are sitting on their nests.
We have also been seeing the eagles on the point.
The turkeys are displaying and providing endless enertaiment.
The males are showing off for the ladies…
The hens have been around and take dust baths in the gardens.
The Toms found the squirrel bungee jumping feeder and helped themselves.
The doves are busy chasing each other around, but they do that year round.
We had Easter Sunday and the Easter Bunny somehow found us………..
We have also tried to maintain the tradition of Friday BYOB. So we have a weekly mini BYOB in the house.
We were doing our winter clean up and we came across these guys. Still have not identified the variety yet.
We will endeavor to keep you posted on state of self isolation in NewMaket, ‘where nuttin evah happens’ and there is ;nuttin to do.’
It’s definitely ruff out there,
Mark, Wink and Meg
I’m glad you reminded me about the blog. I forget about it for long periods of time, and then I get to “catch-up”. Wonderful footage and pics of the fox. I didn’t realize their tales were so large in comparison to the rest of their bodies. We’ve seen him briefly in our backyard too. Unless maybe it’s a relative?
