December almost got away from me. It is the end of December and I have yet to blog. Of course nuttin eveh happens in NewMahket, but you guys seem to like to keep up to date on nuttin.
Our critters are doing well. We had snow early in December but it didn’t stick around for long. Wink was disappointed we didn’t have a white Christmas. The tides seem to be getting higher. The tides are driven by moon phase and storms.
The squirrels have been having a hey day as the fox doesn’t seem to be around to curb their impulses. The squirrels think they own our bird feeders.
Squirrels
We keep hoping that we can find a natural solution for the squirrel situation.
Squirrel Terminator
The disadvantage of this squirrel solution is that they eat the birds as well. We were doing yard work the day the squirrel was caught. We found the remains of two birds as well as the squirrel. It is interesting to watch the squirrels evolve, as their tails keep getting shorter.
We are feeding the birds and continue to enjoy the spectacle.
Birds
Deer
While the construction was largely completed before Christmas, we still had a fair amount of work to do. We are starting to settle into our new spaces. Here is the garage.
Garage well lit and organized
We did get our Christmas tree up and ‘decorated.’
Wink wanted to see Mountains and snow, so we made out traditional outing to Littleton, NH and Chutters Candy Store, where I replenished my licorice supply.
Mountains and Snow all visible that day
We made the traditional roast beast for Christmas dinner and enjoyed a relaxing day.
Christmas Feast
Family Room
We also had the shower enclosure updated in the master bath.
As you can see, I have no excuse for not getting any blogging done. I hope to do better next year in 2019.
