Construction Update

We were gone for September and the first two weeks of October and the work on the house kept going. The rooms have been sheet rocked and we even have a garage door. Also the exterior of the house has been painted. Wood floors are starting to be installed today. In all, good progress.

While we were away, we had some unwelcome visitors. A mother bear and two cubs visited our yard when the house was being painted. The bird seed was moved to the patio out front. There the bears made a huge mess and got all our birdseed stores. Not content with that, they then destroyed our hanging bird feeders in the yard. If we choose to continue to feed the birds, it is recommended to bring the feeders in at night until mid December. A bit of a nuisance.

I also got a new toy. It is a Nikon P1000 superzoom camera. This is the update to the Nikon P900 that I currently use. It is a bigger and heavier camera but can zoom to 125X as compared to 83x like the current camera. I will have to learn how to use it.

I suppose you will want to see pictures from the recent trip, so I will work on those shortly.
